When you want something BAD enough, it will happen!
Everyone wants to shed a couple pounds, am I right? Well until it becomes the "only" thing you think about and focus on, it probably won't happen! Watch a couple episodes of Extreme Makeover: Weightloss Edition! Those candidates don't lose hundreds of pounds because its easy! They do it because they want a lifestyle change!! Alot of them are in such horrible situations that it becomes their last resort before death!
Finding different ways of getting your mind mentally where it should be to lose weight, you need to begin by surrounding yourself with TONS of inpirational things. For example, cut out articles on weightloss, healthy eating habits, and do your research! This isn't about starving yourself, its about making healthier choices and resisting a chocolate sundae on your lunch break! There will ALWAYS be tempation, but for goodness sake, have a little control! Having a treat every once and a while is not the end of the world, but having one every single day IS. Other things you can do to get surrounded is by following Women's Health Magazine on Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/WomensHealthMag it is such a fabulous resource!!! They have tips on what to eat and what to avoid, and they also have various exercises that you can try out at home!
Obviously having a personal trainer would be ideal, but we aren't all millionaires with tons of time on our hands! Instead, sign up for your gym membership and sometimes they have free consultations with personal trainers! This is so great, because first of all its free, and secondly you can pick up some really fabulous tricks!! Something that I learned was that when you're on the treadmill, the speed doesn't matter quite as much as the INCLINE.. If you run at an incline of 6, wowowowow You will sweat buckets!!! Try doing this in different speed intervals... Can be very very effective!
If your not extremely interested in working out on your own, try out different classes such as Zumba, yoga, spin, or bootcamps! They are all so great!!! That way you are forced to workout for ATLEAST an hour! Hot yoga is fun too (but exhausting).
